Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. Her first acting role was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for an appearance on Starship Troopers. It was at first was difficult for Amy switching from modeling to acting. It's because the majority of models aren't good actors. They are typically assigned small and insignificant roles. Amy did not give up. Her first big part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized by the industry for her performance throughout the previous 10 years. She continued to do major films, such as Crank alongside Jason Statham or Shameless in which she was a beloved as a recurring role.
