Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She lived alongside 12 other kids. Her vivid imagination was a great way to get away from life's harsh reality. life. The songs she wrote were composed before she was able to write or read. Once she had her first instrument at age of 8, she began to play at radio stations in Knoxville, Tennessee. She recorded her first album in the same calendar year Gold Band Records, a small independent label. As a student in high school She made her mark locally but dreamed about having a bigger stage. The day after she graduated in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums for Monument Records. The syndicated television show of Porter Wagoner needed a new singer at around this time. Parton took the job in the year 1966. She she joined RCA Records in 1968, and the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. The show was cancelled by Wagoner, but in 1974, because her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums. Parton's hit song, I'll Never Love You (for Wagoner), hit the number. #1 spot following their separated. The first time it made it to No. 1 was 1974.
