Kelly Clarkson was an American singer/songwriter that became the American sweetheart after she took home American Idol in the first series. The win brought Clarkson to notoriety and led to the contract of RCA Records 19 Recordings, and 'S Records. Since then, she's recorded numerous studio albums. Three of which reached the top of the US Billboard 200' chart while the other albums narrowly fell short of the top spot. Her name is among the most popular performers on American Idol. To be successful she played around with various musical styles, and explored topics. Her uniqueness and vocal ability earned her critical acclaim along with a host of prestigious awards. She has been awarded Grammy Awards three times. Grammy Award 3 times. In addition to her musical profession, she has also worked in film and TV. She has also written her children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and has been involved with several charities.
